 NJ Biology Competency Test (NJBCT)

 Tuesday, May 21, 2013 and Wednesday May 22, 2013

The NJBCT will be administered to all students taking a high school Biology course. 
Testing for each day is approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes. 

             Students taking the test will report to their assigned rooms by 8:00 AM. 

            Students NOT taking the test will report to the gym by 10:00 AM.

Transportation To and From School

The Carlstadt-East Rutherford Regional Board of Education will again provide courtesy busing to and from Henry P. Becton Regional High School for the 2012-2013 school year.

  All parents/visitors must enter through the Cornelia St. Main Office entrance during school hours for security purposes.

When entering the parking lot from Wildcat Way , please enter the parking lot on the right side of the cones.

Do NOT remove the cones or drive across solid lines.

STATE DESIGNATES BECTON "BECTON" HIGH PERFORMING" DISTRICT

New Jersey Department of Education designated  Becton Regional High School as a High Performing School District after recently completing its review and evaluation process. NJQSAC is the Department of Education's monitoring and evaluation system for public school districts. The new system is a single comprehensive accountability system that consolidates and incorporates the monitoring requirements of applicable state laws and programs and compliments federally required improvements. The system focuses on monitoring and evaluating school districts in five key components which, based on research, have been identified to be key factors in effective school districts. These components are: instruction and program; personnel; fiscal managements; operations; governance. The Becton High School District had an exemplary performance in all areas.
